Hey, I’m Cassidy, Director of Glyde Automation & Machinery.
I’ve always been hands-on, with a deep interest in machines, control systems, and figuring out smarter, easier ways to get tough jobs done. What started as a passion for electro-mechanical systems has grown into a mission to bring practical automation to people who need it.
I’ve spent more time in workshops, job sites, and farms than in offices. I know what it’s like when machinery has to work, make or break. That’s why everything we build at Glyde is made to be tough, easy to maintain, and genuinely useful in the field.
I’m all-in on the potential of autonomous machinery to change the way we work. Even after writing the algorithms, designing the circuits, and putting in endless hours of development to get the AutoSlasher where it is today — it still blows my mind watching it navigate terrain on its own with such pinpoint accuracy.
I’m proud to put my name on the AutoSlasher and can say with confidence that it’s properly built to do the job.
About us.
At Glyde Automation & Machinery, we openly acknowledge that there are machines on the market that look very similar to the AutoSlasher. Many of these products originate from the same manufacturing regions in China that we utilise, and some are available in Australia through local resellers, often at lower prices.
We're not hiding that fact - we are also not competing to make the cheapest machines possible, we are aiming for the highest quality, most reliable machinery possible, and that comes at a cost.
What many people don't realise is that the AutoSlasher did not begin life as a completely clean-sheet design. Like many successful machinery products, it started with an imported machine that showed promise but had flaws. We purchased machines, put hundreds of autonomous hours on them, subjected them to extensive real-world destructive testing and made improvements.
During that process, we identified numerous design weaknesses and shortcomings, both mechanically and electrically. Components were redesigned, structures were strengthened, systems were upgraded, circuits were re-designed and reliability issues were addressed. Given the majority of the machines we sell are autonomous, they need to be able to sustain long duty cycles without issue and without human intervention. We invested substantial time and money into testing & development, only through testing and failures came improvements and refinement.
The result of that work is the AutoSlasher you see today.
When you purchase an AutoSlasher, you're not simply buying a machine that looks a certain way. You're buying a platform that has been thoroughly tested in Australian conditions, modified based on real-world experience, supported locally, and continuously improved through ongoing development.
Could you purchase a visually similar machine for less money? Absolutely.
However, the added value of an AutoSlasher is not in its appearance — it's in the engineering improvements, testing, support, parts availability, and product knowledge, dealer network and technical support that stand behind it.
